POEM _ ROUGH IDEAS

Haptic feedback loop ….. hadron spin

a buzzing in the brain

an unceasing quiet that bursts drums and breaks bones

Forwards march for more and more and more [use the proliferation ]

  • The feedback loop of sensory input to senseless output
  • Mirrored in city’s like London – time equating to money and success, which are all constructs built over time and formed into a framework that we have to abide by or we will completely fall out of the societal loop
  • Relating the human condition within this human/machine cycle that is completely constructed by ourselves as a global (capitalist) self

And who am I, then?

Another mouth to feed,

clawing for knowledge,

Chewing glass and dirt to make sense of the space you take up

Inhaling greedily all in your path for some tactile feedback of a void world

A new lesson learnt for every wound inside your mouth

  • As restrictive and depressing this operating system of our modern society is, I want to insinuate that through the accelerated spin of modern capitalism, we can still re-possess our own identities and formulate our own individual cycles that move with a forward motion
  • The ultimate centre of this spiral is the self – as much as the outside world determines to re-program who and what we should be, we still possess the ability to use our awareness and direct the feedback loops inwards first, as opposed to reacting with an output that mirrors the deceptive and distractive inputs we receive
